The Palladian Basilica is more than just a monument: it is the city's most recognizable symbol, an icon capable of preserving its memory and identity. With this project, Matteo Pala and Carlo Dal Bianco renew a deep bond with Vicenza, translating Palladian heritage into a precious contemporary textile work. A tribute to the city and its history, destined to enrich its intangible and symbolic heritage.
The famous Serlian windows and harmonious Renaissance geometries designed by Andrea Palladio abandon the solidity of stone to transform into a refined textile bas-relief. Through the soft material of fiber, architecture becomes surface, memory, and tactile perception: a bridge between the rigor of the sixteenth century and the sensitivity of contemporary design, where time intertwines with matter.
